We can both play on public servers just fine. We get that same "Game Required" error regardless of how we try to invite eachother. A friend bought ME Trilogy while I had the standalone version. November - last edited November I have the exact same problem. So maybe it's got something to do with Origin specifically, or that's what I've gathered. No method we have tried that involves the Origin friends list has worked so far, but we just bumbep into each other in a random match and were able to play normally. Yes, we tried that too and it didn't work. Slowly but surely losing patience as one of the reasons she bought her own copy of the game was that we could play MP together and it's proving to be impossible. Not sure if there's any other info I should provide but please if anyone could shed some light on this issue? Go to Solution. But in short, it claims that we we don't own the same game and therefore aren't allowed to play? I'm having the person connecting do it as well so we can try it there too. Also, what's your bandwidth? I'm doing that now, though I have had this issue with multiple worlds so I'm not sure if it's a save or config issue. This is not the first time I've had this issue, as I've tried it with another friend before and it's consistent. I viewed this topic to try to find a solution.
